Below you will find a set of FAQs that explain the purpose of collecting your data, how we process your data, with whom we share it, and how long we retain it. In addition, we explain how you can contact us and exercise your rights.
Why do we collect your data?
When you fill in the form available on our website, your personal data (such as your name, email address, telephone number or address) is collected by ASAG and processed in order to respond to your questions and requests, provide you with the information you have requested, promote events organised by our office and to guide and direct our relationship with you.
The communication of your personal data is entirely voluntary, however it is a mandatory requirement for the provision of our services.
With whom do we share your information?
We may share your personal data with third parties, including:
- competent governmental and judicial authorities;
- professional consultants and auditors;
- suppliers with whom ASAG contracts certain services, such as word processing, translations, copies;
- IT service providers and other third parties who provide services to customers and with your prior consent, such as lawyers and enforcement agents.
Whenever your data is transmitted to other entities, ASAG will take steps to ensure that these third parties make responsible use of your personal data.
When necessary, or for the reasons set out in this policy, personal data may also be shared with regulatory authorities, courts and official entities. Although unlikely, we may be required to disclose your data to comply with legal requirements. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before such sharing, unless we are legally prevented from doing so.

How long do we retain your data?
Our policy is to retain data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected.
How do we protect your personal data?
We use a variety of technical and organisational security measures to help protect your personal data from unauthorised destruction, loss, alteration, disclosure and access, in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

What are your rights?
Right of access:
As the data subject, you have the right to obtain confirmation that your personal data is being processed, as well as how it is being processed and information about its status, if applicable, to access your personal data and access the information provided for by law.
Right to rectification:
You may always request the rectification of information if it is inaccurate or incomplete.
Right to be forgotten:
As the data subject, you may request that ASAG delete your personal data in several cases.
Right to restriction:
As the data subject, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data by: (a) suspending the processing or (b) restricting the scope of the processing to certain categories of data or processing purposes.
Right to object:
The data subject has the right to object to the processing of their data, provided that there are no legitimate or legal interests and that such processing may endanger their interests, rights and freedoms.
Right to withdraw consent:
If consent is legally required for the processing of personal data, the data subject has the right to withdraw consent at any time.
Right to portability:
The data subject has the right to receive the data they have provided to us in a commonly used and machine-readable digital format or to request the direct transmission of their data to another entity that will become the new controller of their personal data, but in this case only if it is technically possible.

Your requests will be handled with special care so that we can ensure the effectiveness of your rights. You may be asked to prove your identity to ensure that personal data is only shared with its data subject.
Please note that in certain cases your request may not be immediately satisfied.
The exercise of your rights is free of charge, except in the case of a manifestly unfounded or excessive request, in which case a reasonable fee may be charged, taking into account the costs involved.
Responses to requests should normally be provided within a maximum of 30 days, unless the request is particularly complex or there are multiple requests. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the National Data Protection Commission.
